Katherine West is a very determined reporter with WDID news & she is trying to get an exclusive interview with the world renowned horror author Irving Savage. But Mr. Savage is an extreme recluse who has not been seen in public for years. Katherine manages to find his home, but there are no trespassing signs everywhere and her camera person refuses to go on the property. Undaunted, Katherine rings his video doorbell, but gets no answer. Throwing all caution (and good judgement) aside, Katherine tries the front door, which is surprisingly unlocked! Once inside, she realizes that security cameras are everywhere & she should leave – but not before setting up her camera to film the lead into her story for the 6 o’clock news! As she narrates her opening, she is unaware of the mysterious figure sneaking up behind her! Katherine soon finds herself being tightly tied a wooden chair in the back room by none other than the reclusive horror writer himself. He hates reporters & is not in a talking mood. But he is search of inspiration for his next book and Katherine is it! He has his own camera set up and is filming Katherine as the ropes make her more & more helpless – a true damsel-in-distress! The sinister author even has Katherine to look into his camera and describe the horror she is experiencing. He leaves the camera rolling, capturing every moment of Katherine struggling & pleading – all to be studied later as research for his next book which he plans on writing from the perspective of a helpless damsel!
